The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the fourth month of the year 1405 (started March 21). According to the latest data, the annual inflation for the month under review (Tir) increased to 66.0%, marking a 3.1 percent increase from the previous month, In terms of point to point CPI rise, ‘tobacco products’ with 162.4% saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services; followed by “food and beverages“ with 128.1%. The Consumer Price Index was reported at 676.9, reflecting a 0.7 percent rise compared to the previous month and a 87.9% rise compared to the same month of the year before.
