Iran-EU Trade in the first four month of 2023 at 1,492 Mio Euro
Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade from January to April 2023 generated 1,492 million Euro. The 27 EU countries exported goods worth € 1,210 million Euro (-8%) to Iran and imported goods worth € 282 million (-22%). Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 464 million Euro, followed by Italy (220 million Euro) and the Netherlands (194 million Euro).
The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran from January to April 2023 stood at 1,210 million Euro, a decrease of 8% compared to the first four month of the year 2022. According to the latest data by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, 31% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that delivered goods worth 373 million Euro, that was 30% less than in January-April 2022. Second (15%) were the Netherlands with exports worth 179 million Euro (+62%), followed by Italy (173 million Euro, +17%), France (93 million Euro, +26%) and Belgium (93 million Euro, +29%).
In the first four month of the year 2023 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 282 million Euro from Iran (-22%). Most of the Iranian exports to the European Union (32%) went to Germany, which imported goods worth 91 million Euro from Iran (-16%), followed by Italy (47 million Euro, -14%), Spain (32 million Euro, -33%) and Belgium (23 million Euro, +47%).
