The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the first seven month of the cur­rent Iranian year (started March 21). According to the latest data, the annualized inflation for the month under review (Mehr) stood at 45.5%, down from 46.1% in the month before. 

In terms of year-on-year CPI rise, “hotels and restaurants” with 55.4 saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services, followed by “clothing and shoes” with 47.9%. Food and beverages were 36.1% more expensive in the month of Mehr than in the same month of the previous year. The Consumer Price Index was reported at 206,5 indicating a 39.2% rise compared to the same month of the year before.
