Minimum Wages to Rise by 35%
With the 35% rise, minimum wages have increased from 53,082,840 Rial to 71,661,840 Rial per month. Including all the fringe benefits, minimum wagers will earn app. 110,000,000 per month in the current Iranian year (started March 20). The decision was made at a meeting of the Supreme Labor Council in the final days of last Iranian year.
For wages above the minimum level, the increase was decided at 22%, plus 6,900,780 Rial.
In addition, there are allowances such as housing allowance (6,500,000 Rial), contributions for basic necessities (bon) (14,000,000 Rial), child allowance per each child (4,179,750 Rial), severance pay per month (with the precondition of having at least one year of working experience) (2,100,000 Rial) and allowances for married persons (5,000,000 Rial).
