Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade in January to March 2024 generated 1,279 million Euro (+8%). The 27 EU coun­tries ex­por­ted goods worth € 1,062 million Euro (+11%) to Iran and impor­ted goods worth 217 million Euro (-3%). Ger­­many was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 402 million Euro, followed by Italy (190 million Euro), the Ne­therlands (154 mil­li­on Euro) and Romania (125 million Euro).

The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran in the first three month of the year 2024 stood at 1,062 mil­lion Euro, an increase of 11% compared to January till March 2023. Accor­ding to the latest data by Eurostat, the sta­­tis­tical office of the European Union, 32% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that de­livered goods worth 344 million Euro, that was 19% more than in the first Quarter of the year 2023. Second (13%) were the Netherlands with exports worth 138 million Euro (-7%) fol­lowed by Italy (131 million Euro, -6%) and Romania (115 million Euro, +117%).

From January to March 2024 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 217 million Euro from Iran (-3%). Most of the Ira­nian exports to the European Union (27%) went to Italy, which im­ported goods worth 59 million Euro from Iran (+37%), followed by Germany (58 million Euro, -33%) and Spain (22 million Euro, -4%).
