Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade in the year 2023 generated 4,733 million Euro  (-10%). The 27 EU coun­tries ex­ported goods worth € 3,934 million Euro (-6%) to Iran and impor­ted goods worth 799 million Euro (-24%). Ger­­many was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 1,434 million Euro, followed by Italy (751 million Euro) and the Ne­therlands (589 mil­li­on Euro). 

The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran in the year 2023 stood at 3,934 mil­lion Euro, a decrease of 6% compared to the year 2022. Accor­ding to the latest data by Eurostat, the sta­tis­tical office of the European Union, 30% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that de­livered goods worth 1,200 million Euro, that was 24% less than in the year 2022. Second (+15%) was Italy with exports worth 600 million Euro (+9%) fol­lowed by the Ne­ther­lands (543 million Euro, +39%), Belgium (309 million Euro, +16%) and France (282 million Euro, -10%).

In the year 2023 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 799 million Euro from Iran (-24%). Most of the Ira­nian exports to the European Union (29%) went to Ger­ma­ny, which im­ported goods worth 234 million Euro from Iran (-16%), followed by Italy (151 million Euro, -7%), Spain (82 million Euro, -45%) Romania (60 million Euro, - 31%).
