The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the first ten month of the current Iranian year (started March 21). According to the latest data, the annualized inflation for the month under review (Dey) stood at 43.6%, down from 44.4% in the month before.
In terms of year-on-year CPI rise, “hotels and restaurants” with 55.9 saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services, followed by “clothing and shoes” with 46.0%. Food and beverages were 38.9% more expensive in the month of Dey than in the same month of the previous year. The Consumer Price Index was reported at 222,7 indicating a 38.5% rise compared to the same month of the year before.
