Eurostat: Iran foreign trade from January to September 2023 generated 3,361 million Euro (-14%). The 27 EU countries exported goods worth € 2,770 million Euro (-11%) to Iran and imported goods worth € 591 million (-26%). Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 1,023 million Euro, followed by Italy (536 million Euro) and the Netherlands (424 million Euro).
The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran from January to September 2023 stood at 2,770 million Euro, a decrease of 11% compared to the first nine month of the year 2022. According to the latest data by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, 30% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that delivered goods worth 842 million Euro, that was 31% less than in January-September 2022. Second (15%) was Italy with exports worth 426 million Euro (+16%) followed by the Netherlands (391 million Euro, +41%), Belgium (231 million Euro, +52%) and France (213 million Euro, -15%).
In the first nine month of the year 2023 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 591 million Euro from Iran (-26%). Most of the Iranian exports to the European Union (31%) went to Germany, which imported goods worth 181 million Euro from Iran (-14%), followed by Italy (110 million Euro, -10%) and Spain (60 million Euro, -44%)
